The National Organization for Women (NOW)
The largest organization of feminist activists in the United States. NOW has 500,000 contributing members and 550 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

V-Day
A global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a palpable energy, a fierce catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop worldwide violence against women and girls including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sexual slavery. V-Day provides funding to create and nurture innovative programs to stop the violence.

A global women's electronic support network dedicated to strengthening and magnifying the impact of feminist organizing through promotion of electronic communications use within the global women's movement. Offers many links promoting the sisterhood of all women.

Non-profit organization in which college women mentor middle and high school girls to help them make responsible decisions and create community change.
Women for a Better World
WBW’s mission is to strengthen the global network of women working for a better world, by overcoming divisions (race, class and culture) which separate us, creating circles where diverse women can interact, and providing a web site where women and women's organizations can network with one another. Women for a Better World is calling on women to work together to build a global women's movement. The WBW web site is housed at awakenedwoman.com and will provide a searchable database where women's groups can register and locate other organizations working on related issues. Groups will be able to have their own message board at the site, where they may post news and announcements.
Women for Women International
Women for Women International was founded in 1993 to help women overcome the horrors of war and civil strife in ways that can help them rebuild their lives, families, and communities. Women for Women International’s tiered program begins with direct financial and emotional support; fosters awareness and understanding of women’s rights; offers vocational skills training; and provides access to income-generation support and microcredit loans that together can help women restart their lives in ways that are independent, productive, and secure.

W.O.M.E.N., Inc.
W.O.M.E.N., Inc. is a non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC. Along with its affiliates, Women of Washington, Women of Los Angeles and Women of Pasadena WW provides monthly forums for women to exchange ideas, support the community, learn from leaders and help each other personally and professionally. Together WW, WLA, and WP foster bi-coastal communication and networking between the dynamic and diverse members of both coasts.
